I'm a new beta player and I've been having some difficulty getting directional spells (such as cones and sprays) to target. If I'm aiming in a direction where an enemy stands I have to carefully click around the enemy marker's feet to get the AOE skill aimed. This seems to happen because character markers (friend and foe alike) interfere by obscuring the tile's pixels. I'd like to see the character markers be effectively transparent to mouseover while targeting cones and sprays. Alternately, perhaps another targeting system would work well. On my keyboard I have arrow keys I can use to pick one of the cardinal directions, though I suspect a significant number of the design choices made here are with an eye towards tablets and touch controls. Perhaps allowing us to click any square in the AOE of the cone to confirm the direction would work better, but I suppose there could be maps where massive enemy/object concentration results in the same problem occurring.
