hi guys we already have 3 classes that are in the beta which are: Warrior Wizard Priest and i have seen in a picture that there is going to be a rogue class also. The question id like to put out is how many classes are going to be in Card hunter when it comes out of beta, and if any one know what they might be.
Only three classes for the end of the beta, the Rogue won't likely make release - but is something that's been planned (heard they kept back cards useful to rogues et c). Other classes probably not for a while, not as easy to add as races.
Pengw1n's answer is as complete as we can get As a personal note, i think i'll be satisfied by the game as is, maybe even better with a rogue class. Any additional one is just a variant of the "holy quadrant" (as in holy trinity) and could just be achieved with itemization, as far as i can see it. That is, unless they go on and implement summons, which would make a druid/evoker class an enjoyable one.
That being sad, cleric has root cards - so cleric having that makes a classic druid less likely. New classes would mean new item slots (only shield and boots are currently shared by any classes), so I guess that's the main issue unless we get hybrids like Battlemage (melee+arcane items) - but lol at balancing that. Poor BM.
For the sake of class discussions there are wizards in a premium adventure that are equipped to be geomancers i loved and hated them at the same time really cool.
Rogue is not a hybrid class I believe. It probably has backstab and other new mechanics and items (ranged? traps? backstab? snares?). Guess we'll see.
sorry my english it's not very good. I was not calling rogue a hybrid class, but after his introduction in the game i think that all other kind of classes can be done easily with just a bit of hybridation. Prestige classes? Maybe unlocked after completing adventures like treasure hunt (so with a small price in pizza)
