Hi all ! First sorry for the approximative English, i'm from France. I think i've found a bug, as mentionned in the title. I concede this bug is not important and very situational but in order to make this game perfect for strategies and improve it I think it can be usefull to correct it. I explain myself : REFLECT MISSILE : "Apply any damage and effects to the attacker" I just show in the campaign, Roadside ambush, that when reflect missile successfully blocks an attack like force bolt, the damage is correctly applied to the attacker, but not the effect slide back. It seems realistic that if a spell is returned to his launcher, all effects of that spell should apply on him like encumber, burning, poison or slide back. (except if the launcher is immunised to that effect) Thanks by advance. PS : Maybe should we try versus other spells and projectile with effects if they are applied ore not. I mean maybe it's just slide back which is not transferred to the attacker (i'm sure of that) but maybe it's the same for other/all spells & projectiles.
Yeah, I'm sure Reflect Missile should add slide in the case mentioned (and from what I recall, I've had it happen to me) . You absolutely sure it wasn't a regular Missile Block, since the goblins don't have that many of the RM?' If you see this happen again, please use this method to report the bug so the devs can find it: http://forums.cardhunter.com/threads/please-read-how-to-report-bugs.331/
I've made a screenshot if it can be usefull. Some details please : - Can you explain me how to link the cards ? it's more easy when trying to describe a bug. - Can you explain abreviations, i'm sorry I don't have understand "since the goblins don't have that many of the RM" They don't have a lot what ? Thanks.
RM - in this case Reflect Missile. If you want to link cards - use the "deck" symbol above the message when posting, or the green orb for items.
Ok, looking at my screenshot i think I've understand the bug. You say normaly slide back should be reflected, and is reflected in your games, right ? It's a little bit more pernicious : the fact is that there were another gobelin just behind the gobelin grunt I targeted, so anyway slide back will have not work. I'm not a programmer but I think the game considered slide back as unapplicable before reflecting it via RM, so it reflect an "unapplicable slide back". The information which made me consider this it's that in the battle log it's written " G'foz is shoved by arcane energy! G'foz blocks, turning the attack back on the aggressor! Goblin Grunts discarded Reflect Missile. Dhelgwinwen took 1 Arcane damage. Dhelgwinwen moved. Goblin Grunts play Run." I specify that Dhelgwinwen is the name of my Elf Mage, she hasn't any trait and the space behind her was free.
Do you have a screenshot as well? It's possible it checked the goblin wasn't able to slide before applying the effect to your character - interesting. Or maybe your own character coulnd't move? If you have the screenshot, post it, might help.
Yes of course, i've paused the game in order to don't miss anything if I should do something now. Except if I missed an evident reason why my character havn't move (i'm new player) I also think it can be an interesting -in a very specific situation- bug.

This "bug" looks familiar. Based on other data, such as those to which Phaselock linked, I would posit that the game engine doesn't change the reference point (the caster's position) from which the caster slides back, resulting in the caster sliding back N along the 0 vector.
Ok, so I hope a moderator will see this thread and reply here ! Please tell us if you're planning t correct that bug. Thanks by advance.
After much consideration, even though I think it is counter-intuitive, I think this is working as intended. "Slide Back" means "Move target character away from you." In this case, the effect is reflected onto the caster, but "you" is still the caster too. Since you can't move away from yourself, there is no effect.
