Taunted character after mob death leaves character unable to attack

If a character is taunted and then that mob group dies, the taunt remains on the character for the rest of the duration of the card. The character can no longer attack anything until the duration of the taunt ends. It is probably working mechanically, though logically and thematically it makes no sense.
