I have been having trouble with the Iron Golum. I cannot seem to get damage on it before it wipes out my party, I can remove the two guards, but that thing does tremendous damage. If I have armor, then my damage cards do not appear to come out, or my movement cards do not show up as often. does anyone have any suggestions? My party consists of a human warrior, dwarf mage, and dwarf cleric.
Do you mean the Copper Golem in Lord Stafford's Treasure or did that get changed since last I played that adventure? Key to beating the golem is mobility and ranged attacks - kill the guards, run away from the golem and have your mage kill him from range. Use terrain cards like Hot Spots/Firewall - any pushing cards like Force Bolt et c. Do NOT engage the golem in melee unless you want to die. If you have issues with his armor, any ranged armor removal cards or acid terrain could work. I recall my elven mage kiting him around that hallway for a bit before beating him, so as long as you can stay ahead of him you'll win in the end.
Acid spray gives you plenty of time to finish off the guards and focus on not being to close to the darn thing.
The golem often is Clumsy, if you are sure it has no moves left (or you have one spare) you can use your melee to savely smash him.
