i think forage able item would be neat or being able to loot a piece of and item and needing all 3 parts to make some epic/rare/legendary items.
What would this fragmented item accomplished? As it is Epic/Legendaries are already hard to get without using chests, this would only make it take longer to find them since each fragment would require a slot of loot in the loot chest still. More so if it's different pieces, which now make it that much more frustrating when you get a copy of the same fragment. Maybe if it's something like trading tickets, where you have 2 possible route with it: 1. Tickets are traded for item of rarity +1 to it, like say 5 uncommon ticket trade for 1 random rare. 2. There's only one ticket, but you can amass them to trade for item of any rank of items depending on which rarity you want. 3. A mix of above, where you just collect points and trade them for items. Oh wait we have that already, it's called selling loots for GOLD and buying the one you actually want when you find it.
