I believe showing the countdown to the next league, and possibly what format it's going to be would be interesting on the single player map (just below the multiplayer button and chest marker). This could bring in people that don't check the mp lobby as frequently - possibly even have a "league started" sound when one becomes available or when you log in and one is still taking signups.
