I, along with lots of others I've faced, and I'm sure some of you all, always forget about encumber. It would be nice if the available movement showed while you're under encumber instead of showing only after you select the movement card.
No, it's in the forum rules (unless there's something added that's worth the bump ofc). Also, this suggestion is probably already made - and it would be good, likely technical reasons why it's not already in.
Well, since the topic has come up again, I might as well continue the discussion here. I remember the whole move preview issue was discussed in more detail in an earlier thread (which I can't locate right now). I still agree though, it would be a good thing to at least show the current encumbrance effect in the move preview. For example with the squares that would be reachable without encumbrance showed as dimmed.
Unless there's feedback on movement being removed someone, I can guarantee someone, will think this is a bug. So I'm with Zal here - reduced movement needs to be dimmed, crossed out or similar to be as obvious as possible.
What if while your cursor was hovering over the card before its acgtually selected it highlight your actual movement squares but doesn't account for square reductions that would have to be rolled for?
Alright so say you have a card in hand, slowed. Only kicks in on certain rolls. Now when you have your cursor over a movement card, the game highlights everywhere you could potentially move and takes into account current move restrictions and does not take into account potential move restrictions. So your mouse is hovering above the movement card you can see where you are currently able to go, once you click on it then you are committed to the action.
I'm not sure if it's because it's getting close to sleep time for me and my brain is sloppy right now or what but I just can't understand what you're talking about. Can someone confirm that Ultreos is making sense and I'm just a moron right now, please? For his sake, not mine. I feel like an ass for not understanding him. I'm sorry, dude. OK. I get you now. Yeah. I like your idea.
Ohhhh...Slowed is a card. OK. I was really confused on that first line of his. My own fault for not always paying attention to what cards are called.
In the earlier thread I suggested that those squares that depended on the Slowed dice roll could be shown differently, perhaps with a little dice icon. But just showing effects from normal encumbrance would already be a big improvement.
Sounds like how it's done in Blood Bowl. Would be nice if that was possible in CH. Even if it would be too hard to show the actual roll value needed, showing a dice overlay could be a good idea,
