For the most part I found the single player adventures to be very well designed and quite enjoyable to play. I've played many turn-based games of all sorts and I would rank Card Hunter among the best as far as execution and originality are concerned. So I thank the devs for that. However, all good things must come to an end and after completing them (many times) I eagerly await the release of further adventures. I think the biggest weakness of the game so far is the length/amount of content. And that's a good thing! The vast majority of games (imo) stumble over basic design and mechanical concepts or insert grinding and other length-padding activities because their core concept isn't rich enough to support a lengthy, deep, strategic game. Card Hunter's core mechanics and design are quite good and with the introduction of the custom game editor I wonder if some parts of the final product could be crowd sourced.

I am really impressed with some of the custom maps some people have designed on the forum so far. I'm not sure if that says more about the cleverness of the map tool or the cleverness of of the forum members- I suspect it's a combination- but either way I think there may be room for some of the better designed scenarios to be incorporated into the single player campaign. Making a 2-4 scenario long adventure seems like something a lot of people would be interested in and I think there's a lot of really good designs waiting to be put into place. Perhaps a contest could be held where the winning designer gets an epic chest or some sort of reward, although I'm sure a ton of people would be happy just to see their designs get put into the campaign. However the selection process works, I really think that the community we have with Card Hunter is capable of making some good content that would help the dev team be able to focus on other features.

I know, for example, that there isn't functionality in the map creator to make new enemies or new cards. Instead, designers rely on already created creatures with their preset card lists. And this is fine (although an expansion of options here would surely be fun too). Allowing the community to mix and match creatures and dungeon layouts into an adventure is a good way to get the most out of already created content and allows the dev team to focus on making new creatures, cards, equipment and map assets.

Anyway, that's my lengthy two cents. What do you guys think?
