[Suggestion] Other things to do after "beating the game"

Recently, Blue Manchu changed it so "beating the beta" unlocked quests. I find that problematic for reasons discussed here and would rather see quests appear sooner (as they used to).

Of course, it's nice to add replay value for people who feel they've done everything. Preferably with real content. But what could Blue Manchu do that didn't drive them crazy from extra work?

How about . . . unlocking the "lost maps"? Plenty of maps were thrown out during development. I miss the War Pig in level 1, and there's a nightmare level in Rescue from Shieldhaven Prison that's gone now, and so on. Some of these were removed because they were too challenging . . . but isn't that the whole point of "challenge quests"?

So I think it might be nice to add a toggle after beating the game, allowing you to replay old adventures with or without the removed maps. Or even with the old (harder) enemy placements on the remaining maps. You know, "hard difficulty."

+1000 for war pigs. I even considered making a War Pig-themed custom map!

    Is . . . is "+1000" the new thing?

You can only "like" my post once, you know. Though I thank you for the tasty, tasty "like."

Yeah, it's this week's hip forum thing. I'm also easily influenced by bacon.

The new game+ mode sounds nice btw, in case the old decks (I know at least one has been nerfed), maps and placements are saved. Considering how custom maps are made, and if BM makes backup saves when they create new ones (I hope), that doesn't sound utterly impossible.

Damn, I remember seeing the war pig back on the pre-beta forums. What did happen to him?

I also agree with the thoughts on quests. I quite enjoy them, have beaten around 30 or so, and I think they're a good resource for players to get rares and epics. But I completely agree that the benefits (item wise) that they provide would be more useful if you could access the quests earlier on.

Just give me a roguelike or survivor mode with random enemies and I'd be 100% satisfied. The off chance of fighting more than 1 boss and getting my *** handed to me...

I'd probably be spending most of my time doing quests come next reset.

I'm all for more content (and if it's already made all the better) but they are likely working on tightening the games and polishing it before launch. Sadly, they'll never get to catch their breath because there will always be people rushing through the campaign and wanting more. :p Custom adventure, not just scenario, creation is key I think.
