Hi there, Just to offer a few thoughts on this: I was enjoying my experience with my first party at CH and then I decided to form a second party, with different characters. And it was very interesting, since I was able to create a group that played very differently from the first (an area-focused fast elven mage in place of an powerful single-target slow dwarven mage, for example). But I think the game offers few rewards for the player to try it again with a new group. The combats are exactly the same; the only difference is that the treasures are more scarce. Maybe a few tweaks would encourage players to play it again with new parties - from where I see it, most players will create a single party, play the entire campaign with it and then consider their experience complete... Cheers!
There have been some suggestions to make quests available sooner. (I'm too lazy to look up the thread URLs.) I think this would be a good of accomplishing what you are suggesting.
Did you complete the campaign with your first party? I haven't finished the (currently) last module of the campaign which is at level 17 (fighting the yellow dragon). I haven't seen the quests yet. I know that they are supposed to unlock when you complete the campaign. They used to unlock for a given module as soon as you completed the module. There was a suggestion that they should unlock once your party can no longer gain XP from that particular module (party level two or three above the module level) instead of after the campaign.
Nope, I didn't - and from the look of it, it seems it will be a long while before I see a quest. I don't see a reason to keep them hidden until the player finishes the main campaign - some people would benefit from a little less linearity... ;-) Cheers!
You're almost there: beating the yellow dragon unlocks the Card Stock preview, and that unlocks the quests. And Card Stock is really easy compared to dragon/monkeys/trees.
