I'm not sure if there aren't any martial skills with drawbacks or if I just don't have any yet. But it seems odd they should be so rare given the drawbacks quests.
You can simply not equip any to do those quests. But yea I have not seen any martial skills like that either in my inventory and even then skills with them are more rare then other items but then again with just 3 cards per and one is a trait I would assume that's why.
Well, all calss skills items are subject to the same limitations (only 3 cards on the item etc etc) and yet you find drawback cards in divine and arcane skills alike. What I think tough is that maybe the devs opted to take away drawback cards from martial skills as a balancing factor. Not saying martial skills suck but, to be completely honest, warriors don't benefit as much from the traits coming with skill items as much as the other classes do from their own. I do understand things are somewhat different in SP, especially when lower level adventures are concerned, and the difference between 4 or 5 damage and a + 1 on that is more important. Considering the drawback-items only quests, it's kind of a bummer that warriors are the only ones who can't equip any item in the slot. Not the end of the world I guess.
I'm almost done with the drawback quests and haven't used any of the skill slots, martial or otherwise. The drawbacks on the arcane and divine slots are too severe and the benefits are not great enough to make up for that. Honestly, the skill slots seem to be the weakest of all the equipment. A priest can get some benefit from Talented Healer or Altruism, but even with my regular party I just dump as many traits into my martial and arcane skills slots as I can. The traits aren't very useful, so I'm just trying to get the junk in those slots out of the way so I can get to my better cards. The higher level skills will give you a single decent card at the cost of a power gem. Not worth it, in most cases.
Traits for Wizard/Priest are actually very, very useful. Yet, it's understandable that if you go for a build which doesn't get much of a benefit from traits, well, then it's obvious those are no use to you. Do I need to say Altruism? The vampire build is almost entirely dependent on Talented Healer. What about Pyromany? It's pretty neat if you go for a heavy on fire spells deck. And Electrical talents benefit every spell, also boosting the lightning damage. Extra Dimensional is very handy too. Martial Skills on the other hand... meh
