[SUGGESTION] - End Game PvE Content

    Hello!

    Card Hunter is the best game that I have played in a long time and I enjoy it very much. I have been playing Card Hunter for over a year now, primarily as a campaign solo/coop player. Playing through the dungeons trying to get those elusive Legendary items that I am missing for my builds is a lot of fun, however as I'm sure most people who have reached the end game of Card Hunter can attest, playing the same dungeons over and over can get a little stale.

    When Caverns of Chaos came out I was really excited. The addition of a dungeon much deeper than usual with scaling rewards based on how many floors you could clear was AMAZING. The fact that the dungeon is randomly generated gave it so much replay ability which was perfect. The only reason why I don't play Caverns of Chaos very much is because it forces you to use a randomly generated team.

    Myself and numerous other players that I have talked to would love to be able to conquer a dungeon of this length and difficulty with our own characters which we have worked so hard to acquire items on and perfect our decks. My suggestion which will give PvE players new, exciting, and ever changing content to play is to add a new dungeon with the following features:
    • 10+ Floors, randomly generated each time you play (like Caverns of Chaos)
    • Scaling loot based off how far your party can make it (like Caverns of Chaos)
    • Players use their own characters
    • Possibly add repeatable quest variations for even better loot. Ex. all characters reduced to level 1, no death, handicap, etc.
    By addition of this one dungeon that already follows a very similar format to something already in the game, you would create a fresh new environment for endgame item farming that will be different every time and add great excitement for players with minimal strain on developers.

    All feedback/thoughts/comments are welcome so please let everyone know what you guys think of this idea and maybe the devs will help make this a reality. Thanks!

    Besides have attractive loot and quests this describes Return to the Caverns of Chaos which unlocks after CoC has been beaten.

    Wow I did not know that, thanks DupleX. Does return to the caverns of chaos allow you to co-op? And also does it have loot based on how far you make it?

    Id say yes and no, RttCoC gives a rare for completing it and standard 2 common+ items for the other 9 chests.

    I'm open to adding quests to RttCoC. No guarantees but if a lot of people want it I'll check with Jon and then possibly get that in down the line.

    I'd love to have quests in RttCoC, but I doubt that anyone would want to complete a 1hp run of it, let alone have the capacity to. No deaths would probably be a huge pain to complete as well. The ones I can see being most possible and fun are:
    • Drawback quest
    • Low level quests (Probably the hardest that would be possible to complete due to level 13, and even then would be extremely challenging due to the unknown enemies)
    • Multiple race, class, or race/class quests would be a fun addition. There's no reason you can't have more than one per level, and RttCoC is probably the best place for it.

    That would be great! It would be really great to have a long dungeon that we can bring out premade parties to which will reward loot that makes the extra time and effort to complete the dungeon worth while, and be a viable option to just running a bunch of 2-4 floor dungeons over and over.

    How would the quests impact the end chest since it already has a rare in it?

    I think the quests would guarantee Loot Fairy rewards as they normally do, so 2x uncommon 2x rare (or better).

    There actually IS a reason—that's the way it's coded right now :p
    When I say I'm open to adding quests I mostly mean enabling the defaults (1hp, no deaths, handicap, & lower level). Messing with that menu is coding time that I'm pretty sure Jon and I don't have right now, but might have down the line, meaning it's much less likely to happen anytime soon. Sorry!

    In that case, changing my vote to waiting until you can leave off some of them, I don't want the completionists screaming at the sheer impossibility of it.
