We have a place in the multiplayer keep to drag items to and hold them there while we browse through our inventory, why can't we have one in single player too?

Yeah, a loadout tray for the keep has been suggested. I even suggested having 3 - one for each party member. Would so love this.

Yeah, Blue Manchu can even make the drag space look like a tray. You know, like a little plastic tray for storing figures, dices, etc.

I agree with this, it'd be great when you have to remove a piece of gear temporarily to fiddle with the power tokens.

I kind of like sharing the tray between party members for when I am running multiples of a class, I can easily trade items between them. At least, that is the main use I have for the multiplayer keep's tray.

Oh my god yes!!!!! Blue Manchu, THIS.

Yeah. Take advantage of all that other table space, too. I understand the desire to fit everything on one screen for convenience, but that table's got a ton of room on it for extra stuff if you just scroll around a bit.

Could the trays themselves be made movable? If I could just drag a little plastic tray onto the screen when I wanted to use it like this, I'm not sure if that would frustrate me or feel helpful. Would that cover up too much of the UI, do you think? I guess it's size would play a large role in it's ability to interfere, but if it's too small it won't hold very many objects side-by-side.

A tray visual would be pretty logical. And MOVABLE trays . . . well, that's an interesting area of thought. What if the whole heap of materials "in front of you on the table" were movable? Are there any other changes to position that would be helpful?

Maybe a option to convert your inv display to something like a jewelry case with a drawer for each item type? Or maybe let us label the drawers ourselves?

Sometimes, at least for me, it feels like a little too much space is dedicated to everything just having a nice, big border around it. Consider how crammed together our decks look under each character sheet, compared to the space off to the right of your storage. Maybe it's just because I've got a bigger monitor, but there's a lot of space over there taking up about as much screen room as my unused party members take up on the left-most border. I respect that some of this is done to create the illusion of an oldschool character sheet, so I'm mostly fine with it, but it's odd that the cramped decks along the bottom are also surprisingly convenient to use, specifically because the cards are essentially movable when you right click them or highlight the item they come from. What if perhaps the tray also did this? It's small until you right click on it, and then it widens and shows everything you've placed into it.
Now that I think about it, it's very similar to Kalin's drawer idea.
