Started playing with the Battlefield Training and Advanced Battlefield Training cards recently and encountered something that was pretty unintuitive and caused mistakes when first encountered. The current order of events for using these cards are as follows: Select the card. Select a target. Select the card you want to transfer to your target. Card resolves. The confusing aspect is figuring out if the card has auto-targeted a target for you or not. First time I used it it did auto-target, so the order of execution for the player was 1, 3, then 4. The problem here is that It is not obvious that when the player does or does not need to preform order 2, due to auto-targeting. Following the same execution order I did before I selected the battlefield training card (1), selected my move card(3) and was now locked into using a move card for that character instead of the battlefield training card passing that move card to the other character. Not only do I waste a turn, but I also burn the card I wanted to transfer to the other character. Some of this issue could be resolved by allowing cancellation of move cards, but due to auto-targeting this could still cause unwanted actions for any card that go off instantly when you click them (heals with only one target in sight/range or Demonic Pain for instance). I would suggest inverting the order of targeting to this: Select the card. Select the card you want to transfer to your target. Select a target. Card resolves. This would allow for the same order of operations if the game auto-targets for you or not and will avoid players selecting cards to use while intending to pass that card with battlefield training.
