Erm, yes...not a new idea. But for the umpteenth time that I go to a new rpg gamesite, the powers that be manifest in some form or another. So just for the heck of it, and in keeping with my wit ... I threw 8 together. God of Loot fairies : enhances loot fairy drops, duh ! God of Loot : enhances loot, duh ! God of Sales : 10% gold increase from all item sales God of Life : free resurrect to first dead char in a game God of Gamblers : +1 to all die rolls God of Flight : +1 to all moves God of attack_you_from_very_far: +1 to all range God of Humor : +1 to all damage Yh well... the last few are just for fun. So the idea is that a player can only pray to one god at a time or start off with no god. The first god is free. Thereafter, changing gods require some form of heavenly pizza or what not...yada yada, <insert new game mechanic rules>. Yes, this isn't a very serious suggestion...meh =)
Interesting list. I wouldn't want to get stuck with whichever ineffectual nimrod gave us God's Rage. Edit: Upon further consideration, mark me down for loot, even if God's Rage is his fault.
I liked how Bastion did gods. Would be cool if they were like, handicaps you could choose, that enhanced your loot... Spoiler quests
If this is implemented we'll need two things: 1) Protection from being turned into a cat. 2) Card - Ball Of Glittery Yarn. Casting Ball Of GlitteryYarn (not a spell, just a ball of yarn) will cause all cat characters in LOS to immediately spend every move card necessary in an effort to catch it.
Clearly it does. Some of your suggestions are for SP only (more loots, more gold...) while some others are huge deals in MP. And if someone chose loots over wining in MP, he has no other options then spending a tremendous amount of pizza. If your suggestion is for SP only, I don't mind. If not, then I am against it.
