I think the recolored figures that appear when you have multiples of the same character look neat and should be available upon initial character creation. I understand the purpose of the recolor is to distinguish duplicate characters but I think allowing the player to choose from 27 default figures instead of 9 would add a lot of character variety. In order to distinguish characters the game would have to require that no exact duplicate figures exist in the party but it's a decent trade-off. I'd even be willing to pay gold or possibly a small amount of pizza to unlock new colors for figures if they became available.
Yeah, some amount of gold or pizza for different colors sounds good. I once attacked my own warrior after a Whirlwind since opp had the same-looking almost same hp war next to mine lol :S The single best NS I've played.
