Thanks, mine too! De Niro is one of my favorite actors, and I really enjoyed how much of a goof he was in Brazil. The good kind of goof, not the meet the fockers kind... So I tried out Starbound out for a few hours, and it's really neat so far. The missions really help to keep me interested, which was a problem for me with Terraria (although I think they might have added quests since I last played it). And the music is awesome! Definitely looking forward to playing it some more.
The missions don't last, FYI, as it's still in Beta. Right now I finally made it to another sector with completely different planets and I can't stop thinking about it!
Not yet. I still seem to be hung up on this game called 'Card Hunter', but I should probably try something else for a while.
I tried the beta and quit after an hour. I stopped after the game asked me to grind insane amounts of resources to build a Distress Beacon. Pros: - I think the concept is awesome - I like the retro-style graphics - I like the sandbox feel to it - Seems like something that would have huge potential Cons: - Looks like something that requires minimal amount of skill and maximum amount of grinding - Quests like "Collect X amount of Y to build Z" are really boring - I REALLY dislike the My Little Pony -type of enemies. Makes the whole thing look like childrens game - Combat is silly and boring Based on my experiences, I will not playing this game. But I do understand that this was just beta, and that I only played for a while. Maybe it gets better, I don't know. Currently it looks like 95% of the game is collecting resources and crafting.
Well, if that's not your bag then the game's not for you. It's about collecting resources, crafting, discovering, visiting other planets, interacting with their denizens, and doing whatever it is you want to do.
