I have been playing Card Hunter for the last week. As a fan of TCG I find it crucial for the mechanics to be clear and accessible. Every card is well described but one, Squeamish. Yes, I have found out what does this drawback card do by reading the forum and experiencing it in game but I still think the description is kind of missleading. You can't target any character whose health is less or equal to the base damage of Squeamish, right? But its damage is 0, isn't it? So what does it really do? Shouldn't it be written: Trait. You may not target a character whose health is less than or equal to the base damage of the attack cards you play. ?
yea, had to give it a second thought to understand the mechanic, would advise dropping by to the Game text bugs topic to report it
Well the current description does say '...the base damage of that card', as opposed to 'of this card'. So I don't think there's really any source of confusion here. But grammatically speaking I agree that it could be better. If you want an example of a card which is really ambiguous, check out Bungled Heal. Currently it says this: To be more clear about what it actually does, it should say 'The closest enemy of the target character also heals 5'.
Yeah, sorry. I didn't really know whether it's a bug or not and also I am new to this forum so I didn't really glance through all the threads. Moved it just where you pointed, thanks! @karadoc: I am not a grammar specialist so I care about the card being eaisly understandable rather than it being grammatically correct but yes, what you said has a lot of truth in it.
I'm changing Squeamish to read: "When you play a card, you may not target a character whose health is less than or equal to the base damage of that card." Note that Squeamish isn't restricted to Attack cards, although they are generally cards that do damage.
