Squeamish ignores attacks that do not directly target, such as cone, burst, linear, line of sight, and "within 5 from caster", making it pure trait cycling with almost no downsides. I think it needs a nerf, so that it should consider non-direct targeting modes as well to determine if an attack is playable. (cone, burst, linear, line of sight, firestorm).
There is the small downside of pushing away your buffs, but aside from that squeamish is just great on wizards and the reason why Runestone, Sesate's Ring, Explorer's Force Suit and Blood Locket are as good as they are. To be fair, squeamish is paper quality.
You can build away from it, but there will almost always be scenarios when squeamish will lose you the game. It's a trait with no upside and a fringe potential to cost you matches - sounds like paper to me.
It's weird that it is mostly on arcane items that pack low power Attacks, it could probably be paper or paper plus on staffs if not paired with AoA effects or burning damage, like electric, laser or cold weapons
I think its fine in a vacuum. synergizing it with the rest of your deck to negate the downside is the fun part and should not affect its cost.
The big problem is that Squeamish isn't actually doing what "it's supposed to do". It's supposed to prevent you from killing things, but it fails miserably at that task.
Yes, and all positive traits should be at least silver, but they aren't. Setting every card to it's true play value will make for a heck of a rebalancing. It's going to happen next month, right? In the meantime ... It's a real handicap when a nasty brute with 1 hp left attacks and you can't WOW him away, so you die. Been there, but it's a corner case. I think what Squeamish is actually supposed to do (by design) is to be a cycling trait that can be built around with very little downside. It would be on Mighty Sparkping Staves instead of Runestones if this wasn't the intent. The devs aren't rookies. And, yes, it's a very powerful handicap.
Squeamish is pretty good for a paper card, but I wouldn't list it amongst the most underrated cards. For a start, I'd say that Blind Rage is better.
Definitly. And then there is Elven Maneuvers, which is only bronze, while Immovable is silver quality.
