I think there's a slight bit of odd behaviour with this interaction. Game: AWMO 450 A filthy monkey stole and used my Fiery Stab on my warrior who was holding Resistant Hide and Spiked Mail. It looks like the burning from the Fiery Stab triggers the Spiked Mail, which throws the damage back at my character, presumably because the burning originates from him Updating Fiery Stab Ibor reacts! Spiked Mail reduced damage to Ibor by 2. (Reduces 3 points of burn damage, presumably triggering 2 points of piercing damage) Ibor reacts! Spiked Mail failed! Ibor reacts! Resistant Hide failed! Ibor took 2 Piercing damage. Ibor reacts! Resistant Hide reduced damage to Ibor by 1. (The one remaining point of burn damage nullified) Ibor took 0 Fire damage. Ibor drew Run. Ibor drew Bruiser. Ibor drew Shuffle. And on the next turn, the same thing, although my resistant hide caught the piercing damage. Updating Fiery Stab Ibor reacts! Spiked Mail reduced damage to Ibor by 2. Ibor reacts! Spiked Mail failed! Ibor reacts! Resistant Hide reduced damage to Ibor by 2. Ibor took 0 Piercing damage. Ibor reacts! Resistant Hide reduced damage to Ibor by 1. Ibor took 0 Fire damage. I'm not sure that the burning should count my character as the "attacker" in this interaction. I also don't think that the burning damage should even trigger the spiked mail to deal piercing damage (melee only surely?). Unless I'm crazy and there's a reasonable explanation for the above. Wow, that's a tricky one. To be honest, I'm not sure that Fiery Stab is going to remain in the game, but I'll log this for consideration at some stage.
