Screenshot shows the rares shop with nothing worth buying from. At this rate I'm gonna make more than I can spend if at all, ever.

Breakdown: Got around 4 legendary treasure to drop, the rest are epics treasure. Did not sell any legendary/epic items i got (about 12 legendary all visible in the screenshot and 20+ epic)

What I bought: Club membership + 11 Treasure Hunts, did not buy any chests. Random items bought from shops for about 800 gold (1 500 epic items and some rares)

Conclusion: Guaranteed epic from treasure hunts with club membership are ridiculously good value. Maybe I'm just too lucky but at this rate, gold is getting worthless very soon. Knowledge from beta probably helped accelerate the process, but this is really crazy even for me.

Edit: List of legendary for whoever wondering:

    Asmod's Telekinetic Chain
    Beater
    Bern's Untouchable Mail
    Bolg's Big Iron Plate
    Elemer's Diadem
    Hand Of Melvelous (guaranteed drop)
    Miligar's Dragon Tongue
    Mokad's Unholy Tome
    Perilous Agility
    Porior's Nimble Mace
    Relic Of St. Darqar
    Wym's Lavastaff

I'd say 4 legendary treasures is quite lucky. Or unlucky, rather. You can exchange them for 1 legendary and 3 epics at Randimar's, provided it actually has things worth buying. Or, that's 4 legendary items you didn't find.

Treasures seem to be very common in guaranteed rarity slots; when I did the treasure hunts in beta, 5 of the 11 guaranteed epic club rewards were treasures.

Yes, if you play a lot you will likely make more gold than the current shops will allow you to spend. You're reached it a bit more quickly due to finding a lot of early legendary treasures, but with enough playing most will reach a similar point. If you're in any way selective for what you purchase from the store and you play a lot, than I would expect to have excess gold.

A number of us reached similar points in the Beta. After 3 months of solid play in Beta, Randimar's might have 3-4 cards I didn't already have. I normally had full sets (meaning the total number I wanted to own) for most rare cards. It wasn't uncommon to not even see legendary items in the store for multiple weeks, like you currently have.

Thank you VERY much for making this thread. We keep having discussions over the value of gold in this game.

And congratulations on totally rocking your personal instance of the economy.

I don't see the problem, honestly. If the rate of gold acquisition was significantly lower, you'd have tons of people unable to purchase almost anything. By the time gold is truly meaningless, you're likely very well geared anyway, and have no real grounds for complaint.

  8. You were really lucky. I finished the campaign (with club membership) and all but two treasure hunts and can only show the two guaranteed legendaries and 2 epic treasures.

Just finished the campaign, did the same pizza plan you did with membership + treasure hunts... I wound up with 1800 Gold (before buying a few things), and half a dozen legendaries. And I thought I was lucky!

I think you just just got really lucky. Especially that Bern's Untouchable Mail :p

I started to feel gold losing value ever since Treasure sell price got increased. I know it feels better for everyone, but it totally devalue gold to the point of rare-shops waiting game. Now if only there are gold sink for resetting rare shop *wink*

I'm at lvl 10 (club member) - about 80 gold, rarest treasure drop was rare. Not sold any if not dupes, so yeah - lucky indeed.

But on the other hand, is it so bad for gold to become pointless eventually? There needs to be some throttle on gear acquisition, and I would prefer to have the throttle be what is available in the shop, rather than what I can afford to pay for while it is in the shop.

ie - I prefer this arrangement to having 1/10 the gold income and a Randimar that resets daily.

    I don't think it's just luck.

I checked my collection so far. Beat the campaign, with treasure club on Sunday, and have already been replaying many adventures (as I normally do) including 8 quests so far. I still have 3 treasure club quests I haven't beat. I already have a full page of treasure in the keep.

I also haven't sold any treasure yet. I've only found 1 legendary treasure so far, but I do have another 11 epic treasures. In total it's worth about 3800 gold.

Maybe legendary treasure should be dropped to 500?

So i'm 80% done with the campaign and I have gotten a single treasure over uncommon (excluding White Star Diamond). One epic comb. I'm on such a drought for money that I could use one of those legendaries :p

Treasure is worth 40% of what it'd take to buy an item of the same quality. That's not unreasonable.

Good point, zelink. For every person who's got a good luck story there's a bad luck story.

Time to spend some of this gold on better inn's and some minions to do your grunt work.

I spent 200g on a single don't-die quest last night.

Maybe. That would (obviously) make it less variable in the short term, but it would give the item-collection side of the game a bit more longevity. (Before the value of treasures was raised, I wrote at some length about how balancing the value of treasure depends a lot on whether their value is to be targeted at relatively new players or at long-term players. I still think that applies now, and currently the value seems to be aimed for the short-term.)

But I personally think the synergy between treasure hunt modules and the club bonus should be reconsidered. Getting a bonus random epic for each module is big deal. It doesn't seem in line with the cost/difficulty of buying an epic chest with pizza, or getting the epic chest at the end of the MP reward path, or the rareness of getting an epic from other means. Also, I don't like that it is possible to completely miss out on this epic item bonanza by playing the treasure hunts before subscribing to the club. It seems pretty unfair to me that players could miss out on such a huge bonus by simply spending their pizza in the wrong order. (There's a similar effect with the rare item rewards for quests, but rares obviously aren't as hard to find as epics.)
