I already mentioned these in the beginning of my beta diary but I figured I'd also finally make a separate thread. As I'm playing on a netbook with a 1024x600 resolution, there's currently only two issues that make playing on a small resolution a bit annoying. 1) Module start/mid/end screens are undraggable: I mean these: Currently this just means I can't see how many levels each adventure has on the starting screen as that part always gets cropped outside the view. 2) You can't drag the battle map from squares that have the movement selection overlay. (Haven't actually tested this lately, but I remember trying this earlier and being a bit disappointed when it didn't work) Meaning when I play a big move card such as Wild Run, most of the visible map can be covered with those blue arrows and I have to hunt for one of the 'empty' squares if I need to drag the map. It should also be possible to just click and hold on one of those arrow squares and then drag the map that way. If the player clicks on an arrow square and holds -> interpret as a drag. Otherwise interpret as a normal move. On an related note but not actually related to resolution, I should also be allowed to click the player base when selecting the current square as the move target. Currently it's a pain in the butt trying to just turn facing when I have to aim for the corners of the square with the player figure bouncing in the way... (This is also the reason why I thought you couldn't just stand still when using a Step card, I had clicked on the player base and assumed wrong when it did nothing) Like I've said, the game is already very much playable on 1024x600 resolution as it is. But if these issues get fixed some day, I'll be happy as a clam!
Hmm, looks like number 1 is a bit more annoying than I thought. If I want to unlock all the premium adventures, I need to do it on another pc:
Like I said, those screens are undraggable I can grab and drag in the main map, the shops and in the battle map but not on any of those screens that show those official adventure modules.
I can grab the table on win screens - before leaving the loot screen. Try and see if you can get back up to the debriefing - then it's probably just due to there not being anything below the "entrance" screen that causes it not to be draggable. Good catches, shouldn't be too impossible to sort out technically? Maybe adding a height scrolling arrow - similar to sidescrolling menu arrows in keep? Also agree on it being hard to target the square you actually have a character in. Needs a hotkey or something.
Good points, I'll look into these. We disabled dragging on some screens as we didn't think there was a need for it (any you can just drag off into empty space). Didn't think about very low rez screens though.
Bumping this. Since I now have to pay real money for pizza, I'd appreciate being able to unlock all the premium adventures at once. That screen is still undraggable...
