I only keep 3 cards for movement per character, somehow i keep getting all of them over and over after each round regardless of if I use them or dispose of them after i pass, it's ridiculous, 3 of those cards 2 armor cards and 1 attack card, sometimes no attack cards at all, all my decks are made to attack, but somehow I can't get any attack cards, i keep getting such ****ty cards round after round, i can't do **** in a match just by running and healing
Well, you might be surprised how many non-attack cards get added to decks from dressing your characters. Any round you draw your racial move card, and two other cards (3 on the first turn). So yes, sometimes you can go a couple rounds with no attack cards at all, it is possible.
Since you will draw your racial move card every round, you don't necessarily need any more from your items. So you can try picking boots that have step attacks instead of plain moves and so on. I've pretty much dropped healing completely and built my priestess to use boosts, card draw and life stealing attacks instead. Why? Because the faster you kill your foes, the less damage your heroes will be taking. And healing isn't really that strong in this game anyway.
But healing gives you card draw if you have altruism... And if your tank has good armour, the enemy will have to hit him for 12 or so for every 6 you heal him.
To be fair, low-level healing items are really weak and most early adventures can be finished quickly if you know what you're doing. It's only later in the campaign that you need reliable ways to avoid or undo various heavy damage over time. For all that inexperienced players complain about not drawing enough attack cards, I have been known to rage when my warrior goes three rounds without drawing any armour and is promptly clobbered/zapped to shreds before I've had a chance to really dent the incoming hordes.
