Here's mine, having finished the lvl3 adventures and gathering strength for a run at Highway Robbery: Hackzor Level 4 Dwarf Warrior Kobold Killer Kobold Killer Trog Skin Jacket Chipped Shield Weighty Boots Unskilled Martial Zapzor Level 3 Dwarf Wizard Staff Of Flames Vermillion Orb Orzo's Excellent Wand Hidebound Boots Unskilled Arcane Bapzor Level 3 Dwarf Priest Initiate's Mallet Adept's Healing Mail Hidebound Boots Blessed Demon Claw Broken Charm I'm a little burnt out on character names, having created several hundred parties already, but I'll try to find better names for my characters before anyone sees them in multiplayer. I'm a big fan of the Trog Skin Jacket, especially against fire imps. The Kobold Killer is new so I'm trying it out, but I'm tempted to sell it since it fetches a high price. Zapzor is just running a fire build for now, 'till I get some Arcane skills and decide how to specialise. Bapzor's Blessed Demon Claw is brilliant, since the holy and unholy buffs can be applied at the same time to boost melee damage by 4. Often I'll hold off for a round or two, gathering melee attacks for Hackzor and buffs for Bapzor 'till I can unleash them all in a mighty combo. So yeah, that's my party. Now show me yours! To export a party into forum-friendly bbcode: 1) Enter a deckbuilder, either via the keep, or a shop, or party way through an adventure 2) Open the console by pressing F1 a couple of times. You'll see that it cycles through various forms. 3) Type "partybbcode" without the quotes, and press enter 4) The text will now be in your computer's clipboard, so you can paste it into your reply below Gogogo!
Holy **** Farbs you are my favorite, THREE DWARVES? Thats what im talking about! Love the names too. I'll be doing the same thing once im in ! Also, why is the warrior 4th level? Is experience not split evenly or do you simply begin with a tutorial solo character?
You start with a tutorial solo warrior, then add a wizard, then add a priest and get the option to config your party how you like. So unless people have done some extra play or used some extra parties, the warrior will be a tad ahead of the wizard who's a tad ahead of the cleric. Shouldn't matter past level 4, or so, though, because there's some XP slowing for the higher level character. Canze Level 4 Human Priest Clumsy Black Mace Hide Of The Frenzied Thin-soled Boots Broken Charm Shoddy Healing Token Novice Piety Khazgitbok Level 4 Dwarf Warrior Slippery Knife Chipped Dagger Plain Old Armor Chipped Shield Tough Fencer's Boots Novice Impaling Valnor Level 4 Human Wizard White Oak Staff Cerulean Orb White Orb Crackling Robes Thin-soled Boots Unskilled Arcane I'm pretty sure my party is awful. This is having beaten both level 3 adventures a couple of times, and just short of being able to deal with either Highway Robbery or Prison Break. I'm hoping that a useful Arcane Skill will show up in the store soon--that would probably be enough to put me over the top of Highway Robbery and Prison Break.
And indeed, after a trip to the store, I think I have a much better party: Canze Level 4 Human Priest Clumsy Black Mace Hide Of The Frenzied Thin-soled Boots Broken Charm Shoddy Healing Token Novice Piety Khazgitbok Level 4 Dwarf Warrior Slippery Knife Chipped Dagger Plain Old Armor Dueler's Buckler Tough Fencer's Boots Novice Impaling Valnor Level 4 Human Wizard Zapping Staff Carnelian Wand White Orb Crackling Robes Thin-soled Boots Burning Spark Novice Both Valnor's reconfiguration as a flame/spark boosted wizard, and perhaps more importantly Khazgitbok's new, much better shield should help a lot. Let's go break a prison...
And now my rather more capable party--after I finally beat the prison break, I was then able to beat both the highway robbery and the first lizardfolk adventure handily. Here's what they look like now: Canze Level 5 Human Priest Mace Of The Angry Novice Mace Of The Angry Novice Hide Of The Frenzied Rotting Leather Boots Blessed Demon Claw Shoddy Healing Token Novice Piety Khazgitbok Level 5 Dwarf Warrior Light Spear Chipped Dagger Cracked Sword Old Padded Mail Dueler's Buckler Tough Fencer's Boots Novice Impaling Valnor Level 5 Human Wizard Zapping Staff Blazing Stone White Orb Cerulean Orb Robe Of Cinders Thin-soled Boots Burning Spark Novice
Cerebral Paladin, I'm more than a little jealous of your Dueler's Buckler. Parry is an excellent card, and tends to feature heavily in my MP decks. How's it working out for you?
Oh, Dueler's Buckler is great--entirely because of the Parry. As soon as I saw it in a store, I bought it in a flash. I saw how effective it could be when the guardsmen used it against me in the Prison Break--I'm glad to now be able to return the favor. Now I'm just looking for some good Choppy weapons, to go with my new chop skill.
Dwarves forever! Right now I have only 2 Dwarves because I played only 10-20 minutes... But let me play more, and you'll see a powerful Dwarvish party!!!
I went with an all Elf party, which was probably a bad idea, but its fun. I've found several missions to be much more difficult than their recommended level, for instance I had basically this party when I defeated the last level 2 mission, and while i'm starting to work on level 4's I am lost horridly on Ruby Demon Portal. Legronhaldir Level 4 Elf Warrior Hefty Stout Club Grey Knife Rusty Stitched Armor Battered Shield Cheap Fencer's Boots Unskilled Martial Aria Level 3 Elf Wizard White Oak Staff Blazing Stone Cerulean Orb Hidebound Boots Unskilled Arcane Rimedenfin Level 3 Elf Priest Blessed Branch St. Pathak's Armor Cloth Boots Broken Charm Wooden Token
Yeah, it takes a while to start getting good armor and shields. They're out there, but you have to get lucky to get one quickly.
Last time I checked, players attempting Ruby Demon Portal had something like 20% victory rate. So don't feel bad about it
Interesting, because I beat it my first try. After dealing with enemies guarded by massive piles of armor (golems) or free movement while I was stuck in difficult terrain (troglodytes--see also "massive piles of armor," if I recall correctly), the Ruby Demon Portal seemed . . . relaxed. And, oddly, familiar. It was like various other videogames where I was supposed to advance under cover and hit hard. Those little Imps couldn't defend and couldn't heal, and sometimes they even burnt their own brain thanks to a trait. I killed . . . two with Misguided Heal? Maybe three? Then the evil flame spirit had a few bad draws. If it was supposed to give me pause, it didn't.
The problem was both player kills and controlling the victory zone gave them victory points. Because of this it doesn't take very many turns for it to become absolutely necessarily to survive with everyone, and if you're playing cautiously, than you probably wont be able to gain control of such an isolated area. I usually lost because right when I took control of the area my wizard would die, granting them the last few victory points they needed to win. Perhaps it could be balanced by separating the victory conditions, so killing all the units will grant you a win, and so will holding the victory squares, but you can't kill half the party and hold the squares for half the time to win.
Yeah you need as many people on the point as the enemy has just to contest it, hard to get there with dwarves! And that damn flamespark usually is surrounded from all sides, and has Fireball but he rarely casts it.
