I am running this through Safari under Mac OS X 10.4. I just sold a few "treasures" (herrings, amber) by command clicking on them. When I did that, those sold items appeared in the buy window (as expected), but they appeared on top of the items. Thus, I could not really buy the items underneath them. I have not tried to repeat this bug yet, but it is easy to fix, as I just switched what the buy window was displaying (e.g. weapons, boots). When I went back to the default configuration, the graphic overlay was gone.
That's not a bug. As you may have noticed if you control-clicked the items when you first got them, or when you dragged new items to replace old ones on your characters, items will often jump into a box at a random point. All these items are treated like real objects in a "pile." This random visual helps set them aside so you may undo whatever you did with ease. And, of course, there's nothing to stop you from dragging the items aside so you may reach the items underneath. A "sort" command, logically, also tidies up a randomized display.
