In case you missed the blog post, we're now tweeting our project commit messages via Rudolpho the pack mule. You can find his feed here: https://twitter.com/#!/RudolphoCH
I wonder if all the devs are on this twitter feed, cause if its just one guy then he must have OCD about loading everything up on twitter. It is interesting all the little things that go into the work of the day though. Something like this keeps me hopeful that everyone is working hard and not playing with a ball in a cup in the lobby, but its ok if the ball doesnt go in the cup, cause the ball is on a string and attached to the cup.... whoops, got lost there for a second Get a nice perspective on programming to, which is something ive been interested in, but haven't made the leap to.
Oh, you don't have any perspective on it? I could help you with perspective if you wanted: NIGHTMARES ABOUT A MISSING SEMICOLON OUT OF THREE BILLION LINES. VARIABLES WRITTEN LIKE ALPHABET SOUP BY A PERSON WHO QUIT THE PROJECT. CODE THAT DOESN'T WORK UNTIL YOU RETYPE IT IN LITERALLY THE SAME WAY. SOMEBODY TURNING OFF THE "MORE MAGIC" SWITCH. These are all practical concerns in computing.
Heh, I had to learn FORTRAN back when it was shiny and new. I have been quite happy to never touch programming again.
Depends. Division of labor, you know. It's best when there's one person on the team whose job description includes "It's all this person's fault."
Possibly is there a talent system in the game? Or is this just the dev speak for certain characters having certain skills to wield different weapons based on build.
That's interesting. I'm wracking my brain here, but the idea of a talent "table" doesn't sound familiar from past discussions. Hmm.
I concur, but I guess its going to be a feature for leveling up? You can teach your warrior to dual-wield, your mage to specialize in fire magic, etc?
Yeah, things are a bit quiet. I'm busy packing up my house, Ben is packing and moving from the UK to Australia and Farbs is busy with their new baby. Everything should pick up in May though.
(emphasis added) So far as I am aware, my baby is not also Ben's baby, despite how Jon's message was phrased. But I will watch him closely just to be sure.
