After completing the first battle of the "Goblins in the woods" adventure, I opened the chest....and there was no loot. Even worse, the "Onwards" button remained grayed out, so I couldn't continue to the next battle. Returning the map and re-entering the adventure fixed the grayed-out button, but there was still no loot. This happened about 5 minutes ago. EDIT: Just saw the other thread, sorry about not posting this in the right place. Unfortunately, I'd already closed the browser, so the console doesn't have any useful information. I'll be sure to do that if it happens again.
