After reading through the worst legendaries it occured to me that there are certain cards which make the items weak or unusable. In my opinion "rare cards" are what make legendaries what they are, so here are the card that are Rare that I feel either suck or are meh. Wanted to see if others agree: Suck Toughened Hide Strips Chain Harness Leather Harness Advanced Battlefield Training Lunging Bash Mind Worm Twin Heals Violent Overswing Lateral Thinking EDIT Stuck Arrow EDIT Meh Cleaning Ray Card replacement is nice but very specific usage Shimmering Aura decent armor, but again specific use Barge good for single victory point boards, but otherwise very meh Cause Fumble too difficult of a roll Flash Of Pain really depends on board Penetrating Lunge Good, but ultimately limited by the single step Triple Heals are you excited? Weak Parry a limited block, no card replacement, no movement, kinda weak Wounded Block too hard of a roll most of the time SHRUG IT OFF EDIT: Limited Use SOOTHING DARKNESS EDIT: Encumberance is usually too costly Some of the Meh cards are okay just not the in category of always happy to see one. The Suck cards well each has a limited use, but really when you hear the music for a legendary item in a chest and see an item that has one of these cards you are disappointed.
Shimmering Aura is a good card, especially in a FS environment. I prefer it to Soothing Darkness that should be in your meh list. And what about Lateral Thinking?! Sapping Touch isn't the attack of the year. Shrug It Off is meh too. Stuck Arrow suxx as a block and Surging Shield Block is badly mocked by Hard To Pin Down but it can be useful at least. Finally I'll add Nimble Strike, caus it's too OP to be played and it can consume your soul *_*
Cause Fumble is terrible against wizards but you have not lived until you've had an opponent rage at you for hitting 2 fumble rolls in a row. Even better is when they use War Cry on you warrior only to have your priest save the day. The character can even be hit from behind as long as your priest is positioned correctly. If you see those epic or legendary items with 2 -3 Cause Fumbles and have gold to spare I highly recommend picking them up.
Yes, the roll on Cause Fumble is just a little too difficult to make it playable, but given how the card is written, a 3 or a 4 would be overpowered, no?
Cause Fumble is the kind of card that'll be better or worse as the meta shifts, or as the environment changes. I definitely don't want to see it get buffed, it's a sweet card.
I missed Soothing Darkness (Meh), Shrug it off (meh) Stuck Arrow (Suck) and Lateral Thinking (Suck) Sapping is a borderline Meh and Suging Shield Block is inferior to H2PD but it is not bad at all. I will edit my original post.
When I got my first Copper Amulet, I made a thread to see if anyone had a worse rare. I didn't feel that there were any true contenders to the ultimate suck of 3x Maze. Edit: whoops, you were talking cards, not items.
