    hello,

am pretty new and I realy like games like this. Last 2 days I kept the random dice numbers on a paper. I am realy anoiyed that the random dice doesnt seem very random. If an npc needs 4 or more he rolls it 83% off the time. Very odd numbers cause 4 or more is a 50% number. When i need to roll 4 or more its 27% as you can see the exact opposit. Last evening I was fighting roaches and they rolled 18 times in a row 3 or more. Is it my badluck or is random not so random?

Well, that's a 2/3 chance 18 times in a row, which if I remember statistics correctly comes out at (2/3)^18, and that's a little under 1 in 1,500. I'd put it down to bad luck, it doesn't seem crazy that someone has experienced this or won't experience it again in the future.

I can't really comment on the 4 or more rolls without knowing how many you've logged.

I get that, it's probably just me remembering the bad and not the good. I just feel that, in certain circumstances (like when 5 mobs are pooling 2 armor from one hand) that I'm the losing end of the deal when they hit 9/10th of their rolls.
some seem to see the same I do...

The roaches have Resistant Hide in their decks. Resistant Hide always triggers against most magical damage, no dice roll needed.

Could it be that you've counted those times as well along with the actual lucky rolls?

How many rolls did you keep track of? It would probably need to be thousands for it to be statistically significant. Otherwise, it's probably just bad luck.

Are you also ignoring hard to block effects that reduce the roll or other effects that add to the roll?
