I was playing a PvP match vs one of the AIs. I ran out of time and it got stuck at a dialog saying something like "You ran out of time". It kept flashing between that and another dialog which I never had time to read. Clicking on OK didn't seem to do anything. My guess is it was popping up an immense number of these dialogs for some reason. Basically, I was getting ping flooded by the game. I had to reload. But before the dialog first popped up, I saw a victory banner. I went back and looked at my rating, and I'm pretty sure it was higher. I did have more stars when it ended. Is it meant to work this way? I did not, however, get a chance to get my loot. This could have been especially bad if it had happened on one of the Epic loot bonus chests. Luckily, it was just a regular one. Well, I don't think I got my loot. It's possible it got snuck into my inventory. But I doubt that, given the other complaints I've seen about losing loot.
If you run out time you wouldn't get any loot - as that counts as a loss. The dialogue popping and victory banner sounds off though.
Right. My point was, I could have lost the opportunity to get an epic item with a legitimate win. But this is a pretty minor point, since winning at all seems like a bug.
I tested this out and it seems fine now. Has anyone else seen issues with running out of time when playing MP?
