I would still love to see a quicker drawing mechanism for QD matches. Suggestions include: Drawing at each level at once (saves 2 steps) and for those levels (Silver and Bronze) getting all 6 at once. Drawing 1 character at a time. This would lead to longer down time, but I feel that the back and forth is the biggest time drain. Would likely require a clock. Getting cards for all 3 characters at once. Drawing at the same time for each of the 3 characters. No passing at all. Definitely would require a clock. I would also like to consider if some cards can be excluded as they tend to be OP in small sample: Impen. Nimbus Resistant Hide Sprint Backbiting Strike/ Weak Strike (although not sure if enough drawbacks for Warriors) None of these are broken, but each of them are more powerful than they are in the mix of a 36 card deck. I would say the Nimbus is the biggest outliers. I had thought about Sprint, Team!, Team Walk, Toughness and Force Field, but if you are willing to have that be your gold card the opportunity cost is high enough. I know I have been way too active on the forums today, I thought there already was a thread for this but couldn't find it.
I would like to be able to review what cards I've selected on my characters for the duration of the draft (i.e. discard the drafted cards after all three characters are complete, rather than after each individual character is complete).
this. please. a single card, per character and then waiting, waiting waiting for the other side to pick is mind-numbingly boring.
My QD pipe dream remains "character figurines are chosen from all the ones you have purchased/available".
I would rather suggest that in Cuthbert's costumes there is a check mark box at the top right of figures you own which while checked would randomly be selected in QD.
I don't think the Golden Shrine is a good board for quick draw, since wizards are so much better on that board. It's usually the player with most wizards that win.
I agree that the Golden Shrine isn't a good quick-draw map. For me it's not so much about wizards though, it's more that particular cards can give an enormous advantage. An early Flight Aura, Telepod Jaunt, or Flash Flood can essentially win the game. In quick-draw there is always the possibility that you'll get better card options to choose from than your opponent; but I feel that Golden Shrine exacerbates that by having a narrowly focused board. I don't think Golden Shrine is a terrible map for quick-draw, but I do feel like it's a bit more luck based than other quick-draw maps. I just hope that we don't ever have Wicked Waterways for quick-draw! Those kinds of maps are fine for constructed deck, but I don't think they're good for quick-draw.
I would actually love to see Wicked Waterways as a quick-draw map, but with a significantly modified deck to choose from.
