The enemies in this area are ridiculously hard to beat. They seam over loaded with unique cards that allow them to avoid all attacks, while simultaneously giving them a powerful back stab card that hits for 10 damage? They cut my team members down far to fast. I can't make a dent in their numbers before losing two members. Even when I switch to equipment to shed their armour and parry cards I've over powered quickly. I suggest equipping them with a few less dodge/parry cards, or make the war monkeys all one team so that it's not as tricky to make them discard those cards.
Movement is the key here. You should avoid all or most of extra damage from backstab and never lose cards to pickpocket. Monkeys also move interesting ways and usually there's plenty of opportunities to hit their back. But well, I think I lost one or two characters pretty fast, as it's much harder to avoid backstab with all three character. Much easier with two.
Movement? Ha. Get my priest into the victory condition square so he can't be backstabbed and play for the next hour waiting for me to draw enough attack/bad medicine cards while healing and them to use all of their blocks and ducks! Interesting mechanic and fun to play at first. Large number of scampers ruin the fun for me though. It has not been fun to play after the "OMG that's cool" novelty has warn off.
