Question: How can you tell who moves first when you play cards like Team Shift?

I've encountered a problem with using any cards that allow multiple characters to be moved simultaneously.
This includes any of the "____, Team!" skills.

Specifically, they don't actually move simultaneously, there's an order to it, and for the life of me I can't figure it out or predict it. This means that if I want to move one character to an empty location, and another to move to the location vacated by the first character, I seem to have about a 50/50 chance that it's even an option.

So my main question is: is there any rhyme or reason to how the game dictates which character will be made to move first when one of these team-pushing abilities are used?
Is it just random? Is there a way I can control the order in which it's applied and I'm just not figuring it out?

There's something a little frustrating about watching a group of minions all shuffle towards me in good formation, but when I try to do similar, my characters end up basically tripping over each other because I can't dictate who goes first. :/
I suppose that unless this is meant to be random, I'm also suggesting that it's not quite fun to be used in this way and that I'd like a little more control over how these cards apply their effects.

So far as I can tell, it is done in the order that the characters are displayed along the bottom of the screen from left to right. My party is always arranged: human warrior, dwarf wizard, elf priest. Whenever the human warrior plays Shuffle, Team the dwarf wizard always seems to move before the elf priest. I've not tested it at all though, it's just what I've noticed.

It would be nice to have control over it if it isn't too difficult or confusing to implement.

I'll keep an eye out for that then. It would explain a lot. I've got the standard party, and haven't moved their order around. This means that when I want to use one of these abilities to pull my wizard out of harm's way, and then fill that gap with my slow-poke warrior instead, usually I end up having him sit there uselessly as my first move, and then the wizard goes last, which sort of defeats the purpose of being able to move everyone around at once.
    Thanks for the reply.

Left to right seems correct to me too - it's always my warrior that moves first when my wizard or priest uses this type of card.
