With the new update we all been enjoying the league games. my favorites are the ones we control a pre-made char/deck I did something similar before here- http://forums.cardhunter.com/threads/pvp-using-monsters-mini-swamp-bridge.5237/ But now i made a new one, the main idea is a turf war, using alot of poison and a fixed idol The original version didnt had a acid fiend..but i decided to add it for the fun (lets see if its good or bad) Be careful, to win its need 7 points,and if you lose your stench demon (6 points) its almost game over, so be careful with it
If we could custom the mobs deck would be a fun new league: Poison Battle So main ideas would be: -the map would be the one from post 1 -each side would control 3 diferent Fungus and a fixed Idol (40hp could not move, long range atacks, rnage 6,8 and 10 atks, poison based) -6 victory points to win, every Fungus is worth 2 points and the idol 6 points, meaning that if the idol is destroyed you win/lose the game -The Fungus would be: Fungus Brawler (Warrior, 30hp), Fungus Witch Doctor (Priest 27hp), Fungus Trickster (Mage 25hp), basic movement would be run ---- Fungus Brawler Deck - 4x improved Poison Spear Stab :same card but dmg would be 4 dmg, range 2, poison 2 ,duration 2 -3x Poison Spear Stab -2 Trowing Poison Knife dmg 1, range 4, poison 2, duration 2. speacial ability: this atack would do extra 2 dmg for each atachment on target -2x Noxious Breath -2x Noxious Impaling Stab. same as Impaling Stab but poison 2, duration 2 -2 Arrogant Armor 2x Scuttle 2X No Vital Organs Trait: - 3x Spore Aura ( duration 3,deals 3 poison damage to all adjacent creatures) --- Fungus Witch Doctor deck -2X No Vital Organs -2x Bad Medicine - 2x Blight Medicine. similar to bad medicine but Heal 4, Poison 4, and range 4 -2 x Infected Bite -2x Noxious Breath -1x Venomous Barbed Tail -1x Stink Bomb -2x Purge -2x redistribute ( the one from the geomancer league) -1x Bless -1x Paralytic Poison 2x Holy Presence ---- Fungus Trickster Deck 2x Poisoned Cut 3x Stink Bomb 2x Miasma of Infection: same as Flash Of Pain but with added poison 1, duration 2. 2x Spore Cloud 2x Wall Of Illusion 2x Acid Jet 1x Teleport Other 2x Festering Guts 1xMalignancy (range 2. duration 1, may only target frienly units. when this card expires kills the char that its attached to it and does 12 poison dmg in a 1 square range of it)
Nice, I like it. A few things to consider: I'm trying to make fixed deck leagues about exploring different kinds of tactics/play from regular MP games. Poison is an interesting element that isn't in regular play but how does it change the way you play/the tactics you use? I wonder if adding some Accelerate Time cards would make things more interesting? Perhaps you need some Purge type cards to give you a way of dealing with it? I think we have to be careful with 4 monster sides - the game can get sort of overwhelming with more than 3 per side. It could work though. I think this board is probably a bit big for league play - we have to consider players who have quite small (notebook size) screens. Definitely an interesting starting point though, thanks.
Thanks for the replay/suggestions Jon The deck part i posted was only a idea, trying to use existent cards (to minimize work), you guys should have a lot of more interesting ideas As you said Poison is interesting, would be cool to explore that a bit more. Purge, Armors [Arrogant (maybe too op?) and Armor removel], Accelerate Time and Redistribute etc..would make a fun league The Map, i agree its too big, had to make it that way because of those range 10 totem atacks. Maybe reduce 2 rows in each side and the "idol" would have more range 6, some range 8 atack? so that would not be a problem. Btw "pro-tip" to play the one i submit: Telekinesing the idol to the front is nasty.... If i can help in any way Jon, just let me know
Does this mean you are giving scenario builders license to generate complete thematic card sets for league play ?
I'd really love to have a league version of Mauve Manticore, but the devs would have to implement a monster editor before we could test any of our ideas.
I was thinking of just putting forth ideas as what tuknir has done. Make 3 x thematic decklists using existing cards, give them monster names, throw them into a board and let Jon adapt it. Rather than pine for monster editors (which clearly isn't priority), we can just work with what we have. Even better, why not make it into a contest ?
