I use a multi-tab browser. During multiplayer matches, I often got impatient and bored of waiting for the other player taking his long turn. I would switch over to another tab to view a forum, an article, a video, whatever. When the other player finished his turn, I would be unaware and miss my turn. Please add a "tick-tock, tick-tock, tick-tock" sound when it is a player's turn; so when a player hears the clock ticking, he knows it's his turn again and he should get back to the game. Thanks.
Currently, a tick-tock sound starts sounding in multiplayer only when the player's time is running out. I'm personally pretty happy with that. I think it's good to emphasise the time limit when the timer is running out - and to not emphasise it when it isn't. I think it could be a bit tense / annoying to have a constant ticking. There is a sound effect that plays at the start of your turn, and I find that's enough to get my attention if I have the game in the background. Do you think it's too short? Or too quiet? I know that with normal programs it's possible to program them to behave differently when their in the background. I'm not sure whether or not that can be done with flash; but if it can, then perhaps the game could be made to tick when it's in the background, but not in the forground.
If there's a notification sound when it's the player's turn, I must have missed it. The flash was playing sounds when its tab was in the background. I could hear the sounds.
I can confirm the multiplayer game does NOT have a notification sound at the start of a player's turn. Which means the game should REALLY either have an audible notification and ticking sound.
I just got a better idea: When it's a player turn again, the clock-ticking sound starts playing. When the player moves the mouse, press a key or does something, (meaning the game has the player's attention,) then the clock-ticking sound stops. So I will know when to stop watching porn and get back to the game when my opponent finishes his turn...
