I was getting some pizza for lunch at work today and it reminded me of one of my favorite random questions... How do you order a slice of pizza without toppings?
I say "Can I please have a slice of pizza with no toppiAAAAAAH!" And then I wake up screaming. Soggy cheese bread is not pizza.
@doog37 I believe the thread title you want needs a comma, as it stands I thought this thread specifically excluded discussion on real pizza until after clicking on it. As to the question my order would be for a "slice of cheese," or "slice of plain cheese." Where you're from is it normal to put "slice" after the pizza type as you have it in the poll?
okay i should have used a comma... i added the term slice to distinguish from ordering a pie. i am sorry i started this thread as i am already annoyed by people's responses. if you wouldnt order a slice without toppings no need to answer... i am very sorry Farbs if your experience of pizza as soggy cheese bread. come to NY and I will make sure you have a good slice to for reference to make the nightmares go away.oh and just for the record in my not so humble opinion pizza from a place like Domino's is not pizza. when people in NY (downstate at least) order Dominos or eat at the Olive Garden I feel bad that they just dont know any better.
When I can find a promo code for 50% off, I order a Papa John's pizza. Toppings: *Extra cheese x 2 *Parmesan Cheese x 2 *Mushrooms. That combination is heavenly. I'm not a fan of pepperoni, so that put me at odds with my friends when we would hang out. As for pizza without the toppings... What is the point? That's like a peanut butter sandwich without the peanut butter.
No it is like hamburger with just the meat and the bun. Only the fundemental elements. Many people would not eat a burger without ketchup, pickles etc.... but meat and bun = burger. Just like crust + sauce + mozz cheese = pizza. Now being that you are in Florida Loli you get a pace for calling Papa John's pizza. I have had local pizza in Florida (specifically the Royal Palm Beach area) and well I would order from a chain too. Papa John's does have very good online ordering and let's you easily select half-half toppings so really very little excuses regarding pepperoni. As far as the pizza you describe why dont you save yourself some time get some mushrooms, Polly-O string cheese and Kraft Parm cheese and save yourself from all of the cumbersome dough and sauce you are clearly not interested in...
