Edit: Okay, wow, you know what? Ignore this. Predictable Stab isn't "Penetrating." Yeesh. And I probably had that curse going where you suffer +3 damage. The curse didn't show up in the log below, which is a different problem, but Horned Plate is not to blame. Commence ignoring . . . So we had Resistant Hide problems, now Horned Plate. Slightly different problem, though. Predictable Stab triggered the Horned Plate and got it discarded, but also did full damage, unlike in the Resistant Hide thread. My battle log says: I'll bet Grug is going to stab Melslem. Yup. Just like that. Melslem reacts! Horned Plates reduced damage to Melslem by 3. Melslem discarded Horned Plates. Melslem took 5 Piercing damage. . . . That's the full 5 damage. And my precious Frenzy armor is gone. Edit: /ignore.
