[Question] Are there any plans currently to add color palette swaps to the store as skins?
[Suggestion] Color palette swap skins could also feature minor redesigns to clothing and weapons, to add uniqueness.
[Suggestion] Color palette skins of the starting characters could be given to new players at random to improve variety in multiplayer. If this route is taken, giving existing players an extra random one of the new skins would be a fair gimme to the existing community.

    Color Palette Swaps are Skin1A, Skin1B, Skin1C, Skin1D.
Whatever the progression of things, they wouldn't actually be able to be added as unique skins- rather, it'd just require adding four additional variations of the same skin to the store. That just ends up being an inefficient and visually cluttering approach. Rather, a better approach for what you're asking for is a way to set the primary subskin, or to manually set the whole sub-skin priority order.

That'd be doable without needing to add new elements to the store, or by simply adding a purchasable unlock key to the skin, to allow you get access to the ordering function for that skin. [Or by adding a purchasable that unlocks it for all skins, or by implementing both options.]

Well, regardless of the rest of how your suggestion pans out, I'm definitely all in favor of leagues ending up with more cosmetic unlocks than just the birthday ones- there's definitely a call to make leagues more compelling to play, year-round.

Sounds like someone knows MUCH more about this than I do. Mainly posted this because I realized there's a blue version of the basic Femme Elf Wizard skin and it looks SO good. Red version would be nice too, since my girl's a fire mage.

I find that most of the alternate colorations end up looking better than the default skin tone (with the 4th duplication often looking especially impressive).

There doesn't really seem to be a strong reason to not allow users to select their subskins (and I think most every cosmetically-minded player has interest in the feature), so maybe we'll see such a function added in the future. ^.^
