I think this would be a fun class. They are shape shifters and they can do some healing and provide some board control. Depending on what the needs of the party are. I think it could add some interesting and fun tactic and game play.
Always nice to get suggestions to add more deptb to the game. a druid could do. From a designers perspective, what do you think the Druid would offer that is both balanced and that the priest and/or warrior class doesn't already? E.g, a priest can simply use unholy wellspring to give increased damage, or armor to decrease damage received.
Hello, Well I was thinking about this and Druids are nature based class and they are also known for shapeshifting. So maybe the druid is a more board dominating team buffer. I used to play D&D and the Druid was one of my favorite classes because he would wade into a fight and completely disrupt the enemy team while also doing AoE damage and creating terrain that would debuff the enemies and protect his allies. So let me give one example. - lets say your warrior is low on health and he is surrounded. The Druid could cast an AoE target burst spell that would make a Fey Forest. This spell will grant the warrior +X# die points for blocking and defense while also healing the warrior or debuffing the enemies die roll. It would also block sight. - Also the Druid could have shapeshifting cards that grant him other abilities like a Snake shift that would add a poison effect to his melee damage and grant him a doge or movement increase and would last 1 to 2 rounds. - Or a bird shift which would grant free move and can not be damaged by floor effects - He could also have the ability to lay down an insect swarm which would be like the laser turrets except it would last two rounds and could move 1 or 2 spaces each round. - roots are already in the game but maybe his could last longer or give a poison effect. - Maybe a burst 1 walk effect that would create grass squares that would heal teammates who end a round on them or gave poison damage to enemies that ended a round on it. So this is kind of what I was thinking.
