From the way the card is worded it sounds like it should automatically discard enemy controlled cards that would otherwise attach to the character. However I was recently in the Lair of Blitzwhatever and the dragon managed to land an encumbrance card on my mage (whatever the two target ranged attack is called) who at the time had a Mystical Drakehide. This was the first time I have used the yellow drake armor and the only time I had the Drakehide come up. So I'm not sure if it is the armor itself or the attack that the dragon is using or if it was just a fluke. I had one more run so I figured I'd try to see I could get it to happen again and as luck would have it I actually ended up with the armor a second time but true to form the dragon was uncooperative and I was dumb enough to try to hit it with boiling before attacking it and of course it had a reflect/perfect I forget which.
Whelp that probably explains why I didn't find anything that appeared pertinent when I searched for Drakehide And comparing that and the arrogant armor the dice qualifier is in a different spot. Oh well.
