I was in the second battle of the "Wizards Workshop". My dwarf warrior drew the card "Slicer" which is a trait. My very first action was to cast Slicer. The game applied the slicer trait to my warrior, but when I tried to take any further actions it continued to prompt me "Must Play Trait". I could not take any further actions because of the "Must Play Trait" prompt, even though my one and only trait card was already in play. I proceeded to resign the battle. I then retried the battle. This time the battle started normally, and I drew no trait cards. However, the game continued to prompt me "Must Play Trait". In other words I could again not take any actions because I had no trait cards to play even though it demanded I play one. That is where my testing of the bug ended. I am at work so I could not continue to see if my next battle/different scenario would have fixed the problem. Thanks! EDIT: Nevermind. I was holding a trait. Disregard.
