MM22-1 is the best and easiest way to test this. Use it to move adjacent to multiple Goblins at once, and, more often than not, you'll find that not ALL of the supposed-to-be-affected enemies can be moved aside. This makes MM22-1 near-impossible [in my experience] as a result.
This is the same bug that causes large figures to sometimes hurt themselves while charging. Some parts of the code only look at one tile (the bottom tile for large figures) when checking adjacency.
