Copied from my post on kongregate: I was in multiplayer today and this situation happened. I have two characters left, opponent has one. All are in close proximity. Opponent’s character has low health and Festering Guts handicap (when this character dies, deal 18 acid damage to every character within 3 squares). This is enough damage to kill both my remaining characters. I deal the killing blow thinking that I will win before the handicap triggers. From talking with the opponent afterwards, here is the aftermath: In the game screen, the handicap was shown as triggering immediately after my attack card. The Festering Guts damage was applied before my attack, killing off my characters and awarding my opponent with the 6th star, before I received my stars. However, we both received defeat messages and did not get loot. Opponent reports that their loot “reset”. I had not claimed any loot yet today so I don’t know if mine did. Despite the game screen indicating that my opponent had won first, my rating went up and my opponent’s went down. I loaded up the game a bit later and got the “You ended with a battle in progress, would you like to rejoin it?” message. Clicked yes, got brought back to the battle described above, and was greeted with a fresh defeat message followed by a frozen loading screen.
