Multiplayer AI has Impossible Decks

This may be intentional, or it may be a bug. I appreciate that, in Campaign, the GM decks are deliberately set up based upon the enemies rather than items. This makes sense for purposes of narrative, simplicity and balance.

In multiplayer, however, these considerations don't seem to be as important, and yet it appears that the AI opponents can still have card combinations otherwise unavailable to players.

Unless I'm much mistaken, it's currently impossible to have more than one Resistant Hide in a deck, and therefore impossible to have two in one's hand (subject to a few very specific tactical decisions).

    And yet:

Given the heated debate about whether this card is overpowered (and the subsequent decision to limit it to robes only), it seems strange and/or unfair that the AI can get duplicates. In a wider context, it suggests that the AI may have access to any otherwise impossible combination of cards.

The AI does not follow the same item rules as players do. Melvin isn't too bad, Mom AI has some powerful cards not available to the playerbase. If you feel strongly about it, feel free to disable matching against the AI in your MP lobby. Hope it helps. :)

You are correct! They AI do have access to cards that players do not. Like in the single-player there are monsters who have access to cards you do not. It should also be noted that when the decks for Melvin, Amy, and Gary were construed when there were items that allowed players to have in their decks multiple Resistant Hide cards. However, since then those items have been removed. The same is true for example with Amy being able to cast Rockfall and use the Contagion card (in connection with Impenetrable Nimbus mind you). Although, as Phaselock said the AI do not follow the same deck building mechanics that players do. The AI have decks that are constructed more like the monsters decks, which are not based on the same item system.

Also, players complain about the AI in multi-player having access to powerful cards that the players do not. Now, I haven't heard a single complaint about players not being able to play the card Bite. Which I feel is totally unfair! If my dwarf wants to Bite you to death I feel that he should be able to. I mean seriously, it is so unfair! ;)
