I had an idea for my contest entry that involved using Melvelous, and wanted to check exactly what he had in his decks, and discovered he won't load in custom scenarios. I tried "Melvelous 1", "Melvelous 2", and "Melvelous the Lich" and each time all I got was the first char of my MP party (just one even though the group size was 6). I double checked that "MP Party" was unchecked, and the Four-Headed Hydra works fine for that group, so it's not a figure size issue. I know Melvelous was tweaked towards the end of beta, and my module notes after the tweak have his group ID as just "Melvelous"; could that be the problem? Would it be possible to have the scenario editor use the master list of monsters?
Melvelous 1 and 2 still aren't working, and now the Giant Cockroaches are failing to load too (and cause all monster groups after them to fail).
I seem to remember seeing that he was removed from custom maps in some patch notes but I could be crazy.
"Melvelous the Lich" was removed (several times), but Melvelous 1 and Melvelous 2 are still listed; they just don't load properly. I think after the most recent Melvelous adventure tweak (in beta) they renamed Melvelous 1 to just Melvelous and stopped using Melvelous 2 (since the third map no longer needs teleports). But the custom scenario list isn't auto-generated so needs to be properly updated. Now that I'm thinking about it, the most recent build did tweak Against the Cockroaches, so that may be why my contest entry stopped working suddenly. Can someone check what the roaches are now called in the logs? (I'm only level 7 in the campaign right now.)
Okay, cockroaches should be fixed in an upcoming build. Sorry about that. I've asked the monster building folks to be mindful of it in future.
Melvelous still doesn't work in Custom Maps. I have a map or two that I want to use him for as well, so a fix would be appreciated!
