I've asked this in the past and not received a definitive answer, but what is the policy on duration of map rotation? I would assume (perhaps incorrectly) that MP churn would be significantly increased if the map rotation were quicker. Even a change every 2 weeks would have me alone playing more often. But I won't discount the possibility that I'm the only one who feels this way.
It's monthly barring specials (Halloween, Winter). 2 weeks is doable, probably, but let's see how other people feel.
If the rotation was going to be switched to 2 weeks, I think the guild seasons would need to be shortened as well. Which I'm not sure they should be. Part of the challenge of the guild seasons is adapting to a specific rotation, with a period of lots of crazy builds at the beginning of the month and a more established meta by the end. So having 2 rotations within one month would put MP in a constant state of craziness, without giving it a chance to settle down. Maybe that's okay, but it would certainly be very different. Personally I like how it works now, although perhaps we could have more new rotations like Flax's Batford maps
New rotations are on my self-assigned eventual to-dos. But also I think EttSC will launch with a new rotation.
I'm completely on the same line with @Vakaz here. A 2 weeks rotation would make it very hard for players to experiment and find good builds which work well for them. This is especially true as long as new players go. Not everybody has been playing CH for many months, and people who don't have enough time to play several MP games on a daily basis would struggle even more with adapting to an ever changing pool. I thing the 1 month rotation hits the right compromise.
I peronsally would like every game to be on a random map. Be that single player or multiplayer. It would force you to make a team capable of anything and stops us more experienced players explotin the maps in multiplayer as we are capable of building a team that can be so focused.
I hate Celestial Temple you can't buff your team mates at the start, and the center doesn't have much sight, and positioning isn't very useful!
