I can't remember what the card or effect is called. But whenever someone is casting that AOE spell that fills squares with rock/dirt/whatever the sound goes crazy, for me atleast. Something like: "DING DING DING DING DING" 10 times louder than other effects, it's also somewhat out of sync. you hear the sound and then a while after the squares are affected. I couldn't find anything on it in forum. Am i the only one experiencing this?
I'm not sure what you're referring to, but one thing that I think is too loud, the sound effect of you getting your new rank points after a MP match. That sound is louder than everything else in the game. For me, at least.
Think you're looking for Rockfall, it's pretty loud - since it dings for every square it fills, but don't rember it being that bad?
Ah yeah that's the one. on my comp it sort of turns into one huge sound. Don't know what's up. I don't have any problems with other sounds, but this one annoys me a lot!
It happened today also, with mudslide. All squares was placed at the same time, and i guess sound was multiplied by the amount of squares placed. Sort of like 12 sounds on top of each other. "SPLOOOSH" It left me with a semi heart attack.
I think there's some issue with animation that's getting worse and worse. Events are getting "cued up" and launching all at once. Say, I sit through that "battle beginning" animation (which is currently choppy for whatever reason), and then all characters drop onto the board together, likewise playing all sounds. Or I play a card, get some weird lag, THEN the card actually plays and everything runs quickly while the game catches up. I can assure you that Rockfall didn't do this in the past.
I find it that everything runs very smooth when i have one character left on board. And when it's smooth i really enjoy it. I hope that the client at some point will run just as smooth with all characters/enemies on board.
These sound problems happen to me too; it seems to be related to multiple ground tiles being placed all at once(Rockfall and SmokeBomb). My theory is the game gets lost in loading or playing the appropriate sound file from memory and instead just fires off some default sound effect, in this case a very loud ding that gets repeated several times over in quick succession making for a very annoying noise. For the dev trouble shooting purposes: I play on a mac using Safari browser.
