Lord Stafford is a curious man of curious tastes. Cardhuntria is a land rich in absurdities, and Lord Stafford claims to have seen them all. To the common eye he is naught but a haughty, pampered noble, but few would suspect how deep his depraved desires delve.

Despite his name, keeping the staff motivated has always been a challenge for Lord Stafford. He burns through his Servants like a Firestorming Wizard burns though forests, and as such he is always looking for new ways to keep up morale.

Just last day you have been alerted by Nob, your right-hand Servant, that one of your lesser Servants, Dog Boy, has been playing Cerulean Uhcnam's latest hit game Cyber Hunter during work hours. This is obviously unacceptable, but you decided not to bring out the Boulder. Not just yet. Dog Boy must be made an example of, the staff must realize that this type of conduct will not be tolerated. His hopes and dreams will be crushed before you. And then probably again by your Boulder.

You yourself have logged on to Cyber Hunter, under your cool moniker of xXx-L0RDSTAFF0RD-xXx. After doing some research you find Dog Boy's account. You realize that under the name of D4WG B0Y he has been using using two Brutes and a Boss. You scoff at this absurd party set-up, as everyone knows Brutes are by far the weakest class in the game.

You also realize that somehow he's still made it to the upper levels of the Elo ladder. This frustrates you to no end, as such high rankings should be only for the monetary privileged such as yourself. You purchase as many Byte Coins as you can using your vast wealth and buy your way into all of the game's premium classes, premium perks, premium skins and premium collectible merchandise and quickly rise on the Elo ladder and then set out on crushing Dog Boy with your souped-up team until his Elo is lower than that of even the most incompetent AI opponent.

That seems like a reasonable HR policy and a good use of your money.

  2. Paying to win seems to work. The card of the day was definitely warp run, as it allowed me to remove invisibility and adapted cards. Won on my first try.

Your Pre-Battle text is really great.

Cute scenario--pre-battle text is too long to fit in-game unfortunately ;)

  4. This scenario makes me glad that there are no premium classes or perks in card hunter. :)

  5. Shouldn't that be Eulb Uhcnam's latest hit? ;)

Edit: Just found out what Cerulean means after googling it, having noticed it wasn't picked up by spell checker.

Oh Wow! This is my favorite Lord Stafford yet. The intro text is hilarious, laugh out loud even. The tongue in cheek flavor of the scenario is totally fitting with the Cardhuntrian universe. This is a wonderful gift.

    Noticed one typo:
"Has been using using two brutes"
