Looking for general AotA expansion info

I don't know if I'm just not looking in the right place or what, but I can't find much info about the upcoming AotA expansion.

    1. When does it release?
    2. Is there a level cap increase?
    3. Are there new free single player adventures besides the 6 new treasure hunts?
    a) If so, how many?
    4. Will the new content be available for purchase individually with pizza or only in a bundle?
    a) If pizza, what is the cost?
    b) What is the cost for the bundle?
    5. What is the cost in gold (or pizza) for league entry?

    1) Soon - there's been no official release date. But it's currently up on the test server - and pretty complete. Just fine tuning left, likely.

    2) There is no level cap increase, but I believe you can level to lvl 21 since they're releasing the first level 18 adventures. Might need corroboration, since this is speculation on my part - and the game doesn't have a level cap per se, rather than a max level due to available content. MP level won't change however, still capped at 18.

    3) There is 1 new lvl 7 adventure (which is the first of the treasure hunts, just free)

    4) Content is available as a bundle and separately.
    a) I haven't calculated this. Maybe someone can do this for you?
    b) I believe the bundle was 15 dollar last I heard. This is not official yet, and I not 100% sure.

    5) League entry cost has not been nailed down, but I believe it will be variable based on what kind of league it is.

Does the bundle include just the content, or is it content + figures + X?

If the treasure hunts have to be purchased individually at the usual price, they would cost 40 * 5 = 200 pizza (~$6).
If they can be purchased as a 25% discount bundle it would cost 200 * 0.75 = 150 pizza (~$4.50).

The bundle contains the 9 new figures, the 5 locked Treasure Hunts, 1 month club membership - and I belive 3x Magnificient Artifact Chests (30 pizza each).

Sort of forgot what was included, and there's no way to check what a bundle contains after purchase - which is something I brought up during testing.

(edited for correct amount of chests)

There's a $ bundle that includes the things Pengw1n mentioned.
There's also a pizza bundle just for the new treasure hunts, it's a dirt cheap deal :)

[IMG] The Egyptian Priestess is a beta exclusive figure, together with the Silver Samurai. The others are correct.

[IMG] This is the one you're looking for to complete the numbers.

1 new free adventure, and 5 new Treasure Hunts:

    Also a new chest shop:

Like the holiday items, all the new items have a chance of showing up in regular shops and chests.

More details about items, cards, and adventures can be found in the Testing forum (look for threads labeled 1.62, 2.0, or AotA).

Are there quests on the new treasure hunts?

There wasn't last I checked - unless I'm misstaken. I'm sure this could be added in the future without any major difficulties?

EDIT: Incorrect information above, there are quests for the AotA adventures. Just wasn't unlocked for me on the test server - just as Jarmo guessed.

Holiday items won't show up anywhere anymore :)
Is there a reason why that regular chest is twice as expensive as the ones present now? :S It won't even let to choose the level range.

My guess is that it's a gold sink for people who primarily want the AOA items.

Yes, there are. Every one of the 6 new adventures has the four standard quests (and only them):
    • No party deaths.
    • All your levels are reduced to <adventure level - 8>. *
    • Party has one health.
    • Equip only items with a Drawback card.
    * Note: The level 7 and 8 adventures (there is one of each in the expansion) don't have this quest as your party level would be reduced to zero or below.

As a general note, every adventure in Card Hunter has these standard quests. The race or class limited quests need to be added separately to an adventure and just a few adventures have these. None of the adventures in "Attack of the Artifacts" have these kind of quests.

@Pengw1n, I'm guessing you haven't completed "CardStock II Secret Preview" on the test server? The quests are accessible only after doing that, just like on the live server. Also, you need to complete each adventure once as a regular adventure before you can access its quests.

its possible to buy a pack with the new adventures and figurines with existing pizza?

  18. Jarmo

    Jarmo Snow Griffin

You can buy the figurines as per usual in Cuthbert's Costumes but I'm not sure you can buy the adventures separately. It's a continuing adventure and you need to finish one before you even see the next one. I can't test that myself as I already bought the bundle on the test server and I don't have a second test account with level 7 adventures visible.

80 pizza for each of all those figurines would be prety expensive. guess i will have tos ave some bucks to buy the pack :)

Ah, based on Kalin's screenshots above you can buy individual AotA adventures as per usual. 40 Pizza per adventure or 150 for all 5. The first one of the 6 AotA adventures is free (a level 7 one).

    9 figures for 80 Pizza each plus 150 Pizza for the adventures = 9 x 80 + 150 = 720 + 150 = 870 Pizza. You'd need to buy the $50 bundle of 1,800 Pizza to get them if you didn't have at least 180 stashed away (then you'd need only the $20 bundle of 690 Pizza).

The $15 AotA bundle is overwhelming value as in addition to the above it has 90 Pizza worth of chests and 300 Pizza worth of Club membership so that's a 870 + 90 + 300 = 1,260 Pizza value altogether. 1,260 Pizza would set you back $35. Now that's a price reduction I like!
